What is Showit?
Showit is a drag-and-drop website builder designed for creatives. Unlike most platforms, it gives you full design freedom—no code needed. It pairs a fully customizable design experience with the power of WordPress for blogging.
How Do Templates Work in Showit?
Templates in Showit are pre-designed websites you can install and customize. They come with:
- Pages (Home, About, Services, Contact, etc.)
- Canvases (reusable sections like headers, testimonials, etc.)
- Fonts and Colors pre-set for a cohesive look
- Mobile + Desktop Views designed separately
Once installed, a template becomes fully editable — you can change everything from layout and colors to images and text.
Key Parts of Your Showit Template
- Pages Panel (Left Side):
Where you'll find and organize your website pages. - Canvas Structure:
Pages are made up of stacked canvases — each canvas is a design section (like a hero banner, gallery, or footer). - Design Settings:
Set your global fonts, colors, and styles in one place for a consistent look. - Mobile & Desktop Design:
Design these independently for total control over responsiveness. - Site Canvases:
Reusable sections like navigation bars and footers. Edit once, and they update across your site.
Getting Comfortable with Editing
- Click and Type: Double-click any text to change it.
- Drag and Drop: Move elements around freely.
- Right Panel: Style fonts, add links, adjust size and spacing.
- Media Library: Upload your images and replace template ones.
What Happens to Your Blog?
If your template includes a blog, it’s powered by WordPress, but visually styled in Showit. You’ll write your posts in WordPress, and they’ll show up beautifully styled thanks to your Showit design.
